The 2025 syllabus will be available very soon.

It will mostly remain the same as 2024 but with the following important additions:

  • Senior age limit will now be 18 and under.
  • All instrumental syllabi will have an additional class added for those not performing masterworks.
  • Anyone who wishes to be considered for the National Festival competitions, AT ANY LEVEL (including NCES) MUST enter the appropriate new National Festival recital class at their local festival, plus one other class.
  • Solo and choral class summaries are listed below. Instrumental Ensemble class summaries to follow.
  • Full details and requirements for all classes will be published here very soon.

Festival Rules and Regulations 2025

How to enter

 

  1. Read the Rules and Regulations document, and download it for future reference.
  2. Read your local festival syllabus addendum (links will be posted below when available) to find out specific requirements and fees for your area.
  3. Check the entry deadline for your local festival.
  4. Click on your discipline below, or download the full syllabus document, to view class details.
  5. Read the Online Entry Form Guidance Notes  (For Kings, East Prince, and West Prince) -AVAILABLE SOON
  6. If you hope to progress to the Provincial Festival (30 – 31 May 2025), make sure that you select appropriate material and have entered enough classes to make you eligible for consideration.
  7. If you hope to be recommended to progress through to the National Festival ( July 2025), make sure that you have read the appropriate pages in the National Festival Syllabus and have selected material and classes that make you eligible for consideration.
  8. Enter your Local festival using our online entry forms (links below and on individual Local Festival pages).
  9. Keep watching here and on our Facebook page for details.
  10. Pay your entry fee (details of how to do this is in the Fees and how to pay them documents).
  11. Get practicing!
